A recommendable attraction is the Seal Island near Hout Bay. Daily various excursion boats leave from Hout Bay Harbour to Seal Island. Together with my friend we selected the company Circe Launches http://www.circelaunches.co.za/cruises.asp, that offers daily cruises at 8:45, 09:30, 10:15 and 11:10 to Seal Island. It is worthwhile to pay the 45 R because the small island it is teeming with seals and you can all of them when the boat stops close to the island. The captain gives you enough time as well shoot a lot of memory pictures. Overall, the trip takes 40 minutes.
Maybe you belong to the lucky people and get the unique opportunity to see dolphins in the wild.
Because on our boat tour a dolphin swarm lingered off the coast of Hout Bay and our captain took a different route so we could watch the beautiful sea creatures.
